Swilja Fenn was yet another Twi'lek Jedi to be trained by Luke Skywalker at his praxeum on Yavin IV during his task of rebuilding the ranks of the Jedi Order. An attractive Twi'lek, Swilja had attained the rank of Jedi Knight by the time the Yuuzhan Vong invaded the galaxy. When the Jedi Knights set out on mission against the Yuuzhan Vong, Swilja was dispatched to Cujicor. Unfortunately she was located there by the Peace Brigade, which had allied with the Yuuzhan Vong, in hopes that their allegiance would halt some of the Yuuzhan Vong's devastation.

However, all the Peace Brigade did was carry out the orders and wishes of the Yuuzhan Vong commanders, fighting the fight for them. When the Vong demanded that the Jedi Knights be turned over to the Yuuzhan Vong, the Peace Brigade scoured the galaxy looking for Jedi Knights. Unfortunately for Swilja, on Cujicor, Peace Brigade soldiers captured her and turned her over to the Vong forces. Once in Vong hands, Swilja was taken before Warmaster Tsavong Lah. Defiant in the eyes of the Vong Warmaster, Swilja refused to bow to Lah's will, but unfortunately, Swilja was sacrificed for the Yuuzhan Vong gods and became one with the Force.
